Two For Joy – an evolution of The Magpie's Nest, dedicated to showcasing the hottest underground sounds from the cultural melting pot of London and beyond! A voyage from the dusty archives of the English traditional movement, via blazing Americana and Celtic tunes through to folk music from Balkan campfires and African shanty towns. Providing a platform for new music of any genre yet steeped in cultural heritage. Fresh sounds and ancient tones combine – that's what we like!
Join us for Open Mics, featured artists, guest acts, secrets gigs, all hosted at a variety of venues and festivals across the London and the UK. Our home will be the gorgeous Old Queen's Head pub on Essex rd for regular events and live music.
Coming Soon: "Friday Folk" – a series of monthly late night shows at a hidden art space in Stoke Newington: from the rowdy and raucous to the sublime AND ridiculous. Anything goes, as long as it's mostly folky and rocks and makes you jump around or listen intently – watch this space....
