Mick Sands (vocals, flute, whistle, bodhran),Was born in the North East of England into an Irish family of singers and musicians. He has worked with The Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theatre London, The Young Vic and for Sir Peter hall. Other theatre work includes The Gate, The Lyric Hammersmith, The Druid Theatre, The Liverpool playhouse and The Young Vic. He has also toured internationally with several companies. He enjoys an international career as composer and performer and is a specialist in ethnic singing styles. He was awarded the Christopher Whelan award for music in theatre and has been nominated for the prestigious EMMY award.
